God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three in one; even though they are with their own characteristics, they are still one.
In the Beginning when God Almighty created All things, the Three in one were All together. Genesis 1:1,2 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” As it states in John 1:1-4, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” And as we all know the Word of God is Jesus who came in the flesh for us. And when God breathed into man (Genesis 2:7), it was by His Holy Spirit. We ourselves have a body, spirit and soul, a triune being. So, when one is present, all three are together as spoken by Jesus in John 14:8-11, “Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?” He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father, in me? The words that I speak unto you; I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.” Again in Colossians it shows how they were all present in the beginning of time. Colossians 1:15-19 “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him; And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead: that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell.”
In reading of II Peter 1:20, 21, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” Knowing this we should be able to see that even the Word of God needs to be interpreted by the Spirit. As Jesus spoke in John chapter 4 to the woman at the well, He said you shall worship me in Spirit and Truth. John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
In Matthew 3:16, 17 “When Jesus was being baptized the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were there. Matthew 3:16, 17 “And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Some people want to say that Jesus is only the Son of God (Let us Not Err against the Word of God); It clearly states that Jesus is God, He is Lord, and He is King.
I John 5:20 “And we know that the Son of God is come and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and Eternal Life.”
